[Air-l] Laughter in CMC.

Hi all,

Does anyone know of any sources that specifically examine the use of laughter in
online communications (both 'lexically', as in 'lol' or 'haha', and through
textual play, such as '::laughs::')?  I'm looking for significant discussions
of the use and interpretation of laughter, rather than just short descriptions
devoted to this phenomenon within a larger piece of work.
