Non Tenure Track position in Media Studies & Production

The department of Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Mass Media (BTMM) at 
Temple University invites applications for a 1 year non-tenure track position to begin 
in fall 2010. The ideal candidate for this position will be able teach one or more of 
the department´s large skill related lecture courses (Introduction to Media 
Technology, The Future of Your TV, or Principles of Writing for the Media), and will 
be experienced in media writing, and media platforms such as broadcast, online, or 
corporate media.  In addition, depending on their qualifications, the NTT would be 
able to teach courses in the department´s production curriculum including television 
production, editing, and/or web design. The person hired will also work with other 
faculty on curriculum and technology planning.

The department has approximately 700 majors who study audio, video and 
electronic media production; management of media institutions; and social and 
psychological functions, processes and effects of media. It offers a master's degree 
and contributes to an inter-departmental doctoral program in Mass Media and 
Communication. BTMM is one of six departments in a large, diverse and dynamic 
School of Communications and Theater.
