Hello --
I'm hiring for a Social Justice Technologist
<https://jobs.jobvite.com/adl/job/oxj76fwN> for ADL's Center for
Technology and Society. Interested applicants can apply through the
hyperlink.
_Description: _
This is a senior role for someone with significant technical skill, and
the position will be located in SF or Silicon Valley. This position will
help lead ADL's effort to fight hate across all technologies, from
Facebook to VR to video games, as well as helping bring civil rights
into the digital context. In this role, you'll work on topics such as
assessing how effective machine learning can be in helping identify and
counter hate; making recommendations on how platforms can change to
incentivize better online behavior; how governments should evaluate and
deploy algorithms; decide what tools may be needed to monitor extremists
on platforms like Gab; identify and decide how best to fill gaps in
protecting vulnerable populations online; and identifying new and
emerging trends in cyberhate and civil rights.
We're looking for someone special, so please forward widely and invite
any candidates to reach out to me with with questions!**
Thanks and I hope all is well!
Brittan Heller
