Hi,
I wanted to share a very cool resource with everyone. There is a
comprehensive archive of news broadcasts from around the world for the days
surrounding Sept 11. The collection is maintained by the Internet Archives,
a non-profit group working to capture human communication online. They are
also responsible for the Way Back Machine which presents the web as it was
in prior years, and was announced on this list a couple weeks ago.

The home page for the Sept 11 tv archives is at:
http://client.alexa.com/tvarchive/html/
And the program listings are at:
http://tvnews1.televisionarchive.org/prog

An accompanying online collection of websites from that day is at
http://september11.archive.org/

There are a variety of ways to view the clips -- by thumbnail etc -- and
there is a mechanism for commenting on the clips fulfilling the digital
library ability to connect people's thoughts and ideas. (those of you who
know me, know I'll always throw in my pitch for digital libraries as
communication tools and knowledge creating mechanisms!)

Suzie
