Hi Bruce,

A suggestion - start with some shorter, earlier treatments, and
avoid secondary commentators. For Latour, action speaks louder
than words and what goes on in minds is almost incidental.
Three possibilities - all pre-web.
1) Strum, S. and Latour, B. (1999 [1987]) 'Redefining the social
link: from baboons to humans', in MacKenzie, D. and Wajcman, J.
The Social Shaping of Technology (2nd edition), Philadelphia: The
Open University Press
2) Callon, M. (1986) 'Some elements of a sociology of translation:
domestication of the scallops and the fishermen of St. Brieuc Bay'
in Law, J. Power, Action and Belief: A new sociology of
knowledge?, Sociological Review Monograph # 32, London:
Routledge & Kegan Paul.
3) Latour, B. (1986) 'The powers of association' in the same volume
as the previous citation.

Cheers,
