Forgive the x-posting, but this seems sufficient useful data to call to
folks' attention.

It's big bucks, so suitable only for a well-funded research project.

Subject: TeleGeography Adds 20,
000+ Data Points to the International Traffic Database

Dear TeleGeography subscriber,

Following a year of painstaking research, we've finally
uploaded more than 20,000 new data points to our
_International Traffic Database_, including over 7,000
cross-border route totals. The entire Database -- which
covers six years and 203 countries -- now contains over
120,000 statistics that you can search, filter, and export
for use in your own analysis.

A subscription to the _International Traffic Database_
includes:

 - Searchable and exportable access to over 7,000
     cross-border routes
 - Results filtering by year, country, region, volume,
     growth, or traffic balance
 - National telecom indicators such as main lines, mobiles,
     and teledensity
 - One complimentary print copy of _TeleGeography 2003_

How does the Database differ from _TeleGeography 2003_?

Our 300-page companion report to the Database --
_TeleGeography 2003_ -- takes a look behind the numbers to
uncover the trends in traffic, pricing, competition, and new
technologies such as Voice-over-IP. This annually published
report includes the most current year's top outgoing routes
for 123 countries -- about 2,300 routes. The Database,
however, includes six years of outgoing and incoming data
for every route we've researched from over 200 countries --
generating a database containing in excess of 7,000 outgoing
and 4,000 incoming routes.

The new data are freely available to existing _International
Traffic Database_ subscribers for the remainder of their
subscription. If you have purchased the _TeleGeography
2003_ report, you can upgrade to a full Database
subscription for $3500. If you haven't purchased
_TeleGeography 2003_ yet, or need to renew your
subscription, the price for both the report and the Database
is $5700.
