[Air-l] Research on discussion forums and intranets

Dear list-members

As part of a ph.d.-project on information seeking and social interaction in
an Internet context I am going to study/investigate why discussion forums,
e.g on intranets, are not used as intended by the sw-developers and
-suppliers.
Does anyone know of similar work on this subject or could help with
suggestions to relevant references or resources - I should be very pleased,
