[Air-l] increase in spam...

i have noticed this and i've also been tracking where i've been getting
the spam from (since i put out a million different addresses depending on
the appropriate context).  some of it comes from basic sold lists
(including Shockwave's).  but most of it appears to be coming from
intelligent website crawlers.  thus, if you email address is on a website
(even for example, an archived mailing list), it's likely to be spammed.
i also noticed that Yahoo! has tightened the ability to see a sender in
their groups' archives so that crawlers can no longer get addresses from
publicly available archives.

now, of course, this is all in my experience and may not be the case for
everyone out there...
