RE: [Air-l] Technology in Hollywoodand don't forget "operation swordfish" with John Travolta..

in that movie, he messes around with a "virus", in order 
to crack a database or something-- 

anyways, my point is: 
the "virus" was designed on AutoCAD- as pointed out
by wired.com when the movie hit the theatres.

that's so typical of hollywood movies- the lack of realistic
computer technology
(kind of similar to what Frank Schaap said earlier)

there is a german movie- "23" - which is far more realistic,
mainly featuring minimalistic command line action and
distorted modem sounds. 
and still, there's a lot of suspense, proving that no
visualization overkill is needed in order to create a good movie.
