 While I was working in the Federated Staes of Micronesia about 4 years ago,
they came up with the idea of marketing their .fm domain name to radio
stations, however I have found very little evidence of it being taken up by
radio stations.

Others with rhyme and reason include ".tv" (marketed to television 
stations) or Laos's ".la" (marketed to Los Angeles businesses).
