[Air-l] AUP (Acceptable Use Policy)

I believe the NSFNET established the Acceptable Use Policy banning commercial activity shortly after they assumed management of the Internet backbone in 1986.  It was lifted in March, 1991, a somewhat controversial move at the time.  More information here:
