Hi Andrew,

When I teach Internet and Identity, in addition to technology-specific 
material I also use Kenneth Gergen to talk about basic concepts related to 
the social construction of identity.  He does a nice job in both of these 
books:  _The Saturated Self_ and _Invitation to Social Construction_
