Dear colleagues,

Welcome to the new email list of the American Sociological Association
(ASA) Communication and Information Technologies (CIT) section. This is
an unmoderated email list open to members and nonmembers of the ASA.

The purpose of this list is to support the mission of CIT. Mainly, to
support, enhance and promote research, teaching and other professional
activities related to: 1) social aspects of computing, the Internet, new
media, computer networks, and other communication and information
technologies, 2) the design and use of technology in teaching and research.

The section council hopes that you will help us revitalize our newly
renamed section by sharing your research findings, teaching materials,
thoughts, and questions with members of this online community.

All are welcome. Your students and colleagues can subscribe to this list
by visiting: http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/citasa

Sincerely,

Keith Hampton
