For the next meeting, I am organizing a panel on the role of internet in social mobilization, alternative media etc. I will be talking about World Social Forum, Porto Alegre, where I was last January, my student/colleague  and Valerie Scatamburlo will be talking about Indymedia. Leslie Shade will be the discussant. We have room for one or perhaps two more papers if anyone else is working on this topic.
