when i spoke with their science teacher, they had 12000 messages and 3 
days to go.  as many mail servers handle over a million mails a day, and 
yahoo handes several 10's of millions, i don't suspect it became a 
problem:)  though there was quite a fuss over whether it was a science 
fair project or a hoax
