Dear all

"Curtin University of Technology wishes to offer up to three prestigious
Research/Teaching Fellowships to commence in 2004. This Fellowship scheme
aims to attract high quality researchers with excellent potential for
providing future academic leadership at the University. Appointments will
involve an initial three-year Research Fellowship. Subject to performance
review, Fellows may proceed to a continuing appointment after a further
two-year Research/Teaching Fellowship.

The principal selection criterion will be research excellence. Other
criteria include an ability to develop effective teaching skills and
demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. The
Fellowships are not restricted to Australian citizens. Applicants must have
completed a research Doctoral degree at the time of application.

Applications: Prospective applicants should consult with the relevant Head
of School or Director of the Research Institute/Centre of the University
regarding their research interests and potential research program. The Head
of School/Director will provide advice to the applicant in preparing a full
application. Only applications that have the support of a School or
University Research Institute/Centre will be considered. Guidelines and an
application form are available from:
www.curtin.edu.au/corporate/research/g&f/fellowships.html OR
www.jobs.curtin.edu.au"

Anyone interested in applying for one of these fellowships as part of
Internet Studies (which is part of the Department of Media and Information,
including media, journalism, film, and librarianship) should contact me ASAP
to discuss, noting that applicants must have the support and advice of
relevant HoS/Director.

Subject: [Air-l] conference pics are up

they are linked from http://aoir.org/2003 once again you can marvel at
my absolute lack of photo taking skills:) or make fun of the
compression or wonder why i would use a video camera instead of a
normal camera, nonetheless, there they are, well most of them. I've
also linked to Jason's pics, which are a much higher quality, and await
news from those of you that are still harboring pics so we can link
them up too.

thanks,
  jeremy
