unsubscribe directions were provided by Ulla and Mentor, please follow
those.

I've turned on the administrative filters for the list, and they should
hold most unsubscribe requests and encourage people to read the
messages most appropriate to their situation.

it is the general list administration policy for us not to do anything
that you can do yourselves. if you need more thorough directions they
can be provided in personal email. Please read the directions provided
in previous emails before asking for more instructions.

why is all of this happening?

it is because we switched servers to a new service for hosting, this
new service using the same software for lists. there has been no
change on the system settings side. In the migration, all users of
this list had their settings reset, that is just the way it had to
work. So there was a change for your individual user settings. You now
have a new password, and you need to retrieve that following Ulla's
directions, to reset your settings.

Now, what this has caused is that the people who are used to receiving
a digest of air-l, now receive individual emails. Some of you are
finding this irritating, you can solve that by following Ulla's
directions for reseting your list settings. Some of you are also
irritated because of the rash of administrative requests that you now
see, I think that we've put a hold to that.

remember, the first thing to do, is read the email that you have
received. That will explain how and what you need to do to make things
work the way that you want them to work.

have a nice day,
