'Communication, Media and Cyberspace'

This is a general invitation to researchers investigating social issues relating to communication, media and cyberspace. This panel seeks to engage with a diversity of approaches to the study of visual, text-based and audio technologies. We encourage papers which explore issues as wide-ranging as representation and identity; memory and visual culture; globalization and digital divides; the use of the Internet and other media in the delivery of healthcare and education; (dis)embodiment and emotion, and the media in nationalist and postcolonial politics. Postgraduate scholars and early career academics are particularly encouraged to apply.
