On academic freedom in the context of universities,
Prof. Jim Jackson of our School of Law & Justice has
recently published his thesis in this area:

Jackson, J. 2002. Legal rights to academic freedom in
Australian universites. PhD thesis in Law. University
of Sydney.

He may have other published material besides the
thesis but this is a place to start.
