[Air-l] indymedia -- clarification wanted

Not a great deal is known for sure. The Indymedia site has the best
source of details - emails from the web hosting company in London. As
far as we know, the UK government allowed the US authorities to seize
the HDDs (under an agreement they made a few years ago to give the
liberty of British subjects to the US authorities.

I am confused about the Indymedia story that was just posted.

In one para, we are told that the hard disks were taken at the request
of
the US Justice dept.

Yet, later in the story, we are told that there is still no info as to
who
took them and under what auspices.

What is really known; what is supposition?
