not sure whether i'm pointing you into the desired direction, but on the 
gawc network there is a number of papers dealing with i.e. the 
globalization of the architectural & consulting business. now for this 
practice to be effective it of course precludes a strong degree of 
international networking, and hence "cyberspace-mediated" communication 
becomes a neccessary precursor to cosmopolitanism- in that field of 
business, that is.
