[Air-l] AoIR conference venues

While I am certainly not a fan of the current U.S. alien identification
procedures, some of this discussion is becoming a bit hysterical.

Mexican and Canadian travellers are not fingerprinted due to provisions of
NAFTA. I assure you that if the Department of Homeland Security could
fingerprint Mexican and Canadian travellers without re-negotiating the
treaty, it would.

(For that matter, if DHS could fingerprint domestic travellers without a
popular uprising, it undoubtedly would. It is quietly working toward that
end, beginning with a "trusted traveller" program to induce "voluntary"
biometric recordation.)

I would also be perfectly happy to see the conference held outside the U.S.
again. Montreal and Vancouver come to mind. Budapest is nice, too.
