Ok, Nora Paul is key to this. She founded a center for
online journalism at the Poynter Institute and I
believe the online journalism mailing list. She's now
at New Media at the University of Minnesota.

Her mailing list was started at the Poynter Institute.
I read it for a couple of years, 1996-1997, back in
the dark ages.  But all the online journos were
hanging out there.
