These are examples of teachers' orgnisations using the internet to
contact their members because a rising number of schools use the
internet for communication.
There are also forums (sometimes called fora...you know what teachers
are like):
http://www.tes.co.uk/section/staffroom/
http://educationforum.ipbhost.com/index.php
which involve teachers from around the world in discussions and include
union activists.
You will note that the issue of public sector pension funds in the UK
are a hot issue because of the attempt by the government to effectively
deprive hundreds of thousands of their employees of pensions to which
they were previously entitled. There is strike coming up this week with
more to follow.
Do not be deceived by the term "new Labour" by the way everyone in the
UK was and look what happened to us!
