[Air-l] Chicago - the weather is here...

For those of you planning your trip to Chicago for IR 6.0 next week,  
below is the current extended weather forecast (all temperatures in  
degrees Fahrenheit). While it only goes to Friday, if this past week  
was any indication the temperatures should be seasonable, with highs in  
the mid-60s to mid-70s and lows in the mid-40s to mid-50s. I doubt  
there will be need for heavy coats, etc.

You may have heard that Chicago's nickname is "the Windy City" and that  
it was given it in reference to cold winter winds. That is actually not  
likely true, see http://www.worldwidewords.org/qa/qa-win1.htm. However,  
given the prevalence of skyscrapers and other tall buildings, there are  
spots throughout the city (including on my own campus, in front of the  
28-story tall University Hall) that do indeed feel like wind tunnels.
