Assistant Professor in New Communication Technology.

We seek a colleague whose research and teaching focuses on social  
scientific approaches toward mass communication theory with a special  
emphasis on the computer-mediated environment and new communication  
technology. Ideally, the candidate's research would focus on  
psychological and/or social factors in computer-mediated  
communication and new communication technologies related to social  
influence, including but not limited to application in communication  
campaigns (i.e. health promotion; political or issue campaigns).  
Candidates for this position should be prepared to teach courses from  
among new communication technologies; international communication;  
communication research methods; communication theory; media effects  
and special topics in media studies.

Assistant Professor, Digital Film/Video Production
Candidates should have teaching and research expertise in digital  
film/video production and the ability and desire to teach courses in  
basic and advanced digital film/video production and other areas of  
expertise. The successful candidate will have hands on experience in  
digital film/video production and will be fluent in computer  
applications used in digital editing and post-production. The  
candidate must be willing to build on an established area of film and  
media theory within the department, and explore digital film/video  
production as a means of creative expression and as a social and  
cultural influence as demonstrated either by participation in  
national or international film festivals and/or through traditional  
published scholarship.
