I apologize for posting some off-topic things relating to katrina of  
late.  Most of the things had some remote relation to internet  
research in my mind.   However, i did not mean to set any precedent  
for the posting of off-topic materials to this list.   in the future,  
i'll be explicit about how my postings are related to internet  
research or the association of internet researchers.   if you are not  
certain that something that you want to post is related, kindly send  
it to air-l-owner at listserv.aoir.org before posting it.
