Adelina & Drew,

Do you know the work of Bonnie Nardi,
http://www.darrouzet-nardi.net/bonnie? She teaches at UC Irvine in
Informatics and is probably the US's leading expert on activity theory
in HCI. Her first book on it is Context and Consciousness (an edited
volume) and another will appear this fall. Although she doesn't work
with mobile devices, she'll probably have suggestions for who does.

"A cyborg world might be about lived social and bodily realities in
which people are not afraid of their joint kinship with animals and
machines, not afraid of permanently partial identities and
contradictory standpoints. The political struggle is to see from both
perspectives at once because each reveals both dominations and
possibilities unimaginable from the other vantage point." --Donna
Haraway
