Dear colleagues,
the detailed program of the 8th international conference
General Online Research (GOR06) is available. The conference will
take place March 20-22, 2006 in Bielefeld, Germany. It is
organized on behalf of the German Society for Online Research
(DGOF) .
The program includes more than 140 oral and poster presentations
on topics such as the digital divide & digital inequality, e-
commerce, e-democracy, e-learning, blogs etc.
As traditionally, there is a continuing stream of sessions focusing
on methodological questions concerning issues of online data
collection and web surveys. Also there is a stream of sessions on
online communities and social networks.
On Tuesday, March 21, there will be a Keynote given by Dr. Marc
Smith (Microsoft Research) on "Social Networks of the Digital
Individual: Visualizing Computer-Mediated Social Interaction".
On Monday, March 20, we offer a tutorial workshop program that
covers key topics of the field of internet research.
