Lecture: Embodying Information by Philip Thurtle
 
Monday 12 June 2006, 16.00, IISG, Cruquiusweg 31, Amsterdam.
 
The Virtual Knowlegde Studio (VKS-KNAW) is pleased to announce that 
Philip Thurtle will deliver a lecture entitled Embodying Information 
1900/2000: Information Processing and Genetic Knowledge at the Turn of 
Two Centuries. The lecture will be followed by a reception.
  
Philip Thurtle is Assistant Professor of sociology and anthropology at 
Carleton University in Ottawa and a Visiting Assistant Professor in the 
Comparative History of ideas Program at the University of Washington, and  
holds a Ph.D. in history and philosophy of science from Stanford University.
