[Air-l] FW: list etiquette

I've met most of the people you're angry with or criticizing.

To a man (or woman :) ), they are decent, kind, understanding, and
reasonable folks. [Some notable exceptions, but... they are pretty much
'good people'.]

I haven't met you, and don't know when or if that will be possible.

Your presented demeanor, and your habit of trying to make the list fit
your own stated needs rather than trying to ensure that your
communications are actually appropriate for the list, make it much less
likely that others will wish to communicate with you.

I think that, overall, you're a wee bit upset because you feel like an
'outsider'. Well, yes. You are currently a new list member, and should
expect people not to know quite how to react to you -- they don't ask you
for advice or ask you for help because they have no idea who you are.

A period of some years of patient and helpful participation will do much
to improve the treatment you receive from members of the list.

I am genuinely trying to help you, with this message, and hope that you
will take it in the spirit in which it is written.

Best,
