Mobile Government
mGov involves revolutionary approaches to the modernization of public
sector via utilization of networked mobile technologies in the local
or central government organizations. It aims to enhance the businesses
of the public sector by bringing new opportunities for providing
services to the citizens and improving business processes in public
organizations. mGovernment is now a recognized field of practice and
research, and constitutes  the next evolutionary step of the
progresses in eGovernment.

The Euro mGOV Conference series establish a forum and provide a
showcase for the developments on the public administration and mobile
Internet technologies, services and business models, and tie them to
the existing and future m-government applications and government
business models. The series will present evidences of applications and
trends in mobile government implementations from various parts of the
world. The conferecne is a prime platform for presenting, exchanging
and disseminating the newest developments, ideas, applications and
services in the field of mGovernment among three essential
constituents: public and private sector professionals and the

Euro mGov conference organization cordially invites researchers and
practitioners from academia, public sector, IT and Telecom Industry to
participate and contribute to this largest gathering of the mobile
government professionals.

Who will attend?
*** Public sector professionals such as policy and decision makers,
managers of departments developing or implementing mobile
technologies, politicians and representatives of civil society
organisations and NGOs.

Conference Format

The conference will have two major streams: Research and Practice
streams. The research stream will promote discussions and exchange of
ideas on significant and recent research on Mobile Government. The
Practice stream will have various practice talks, exhibition and demo
of Mobile government IT solutions, applications and services.

The Research Sessions: These session aims to provide a forum for
researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas, promote discussions
and support wider reach of mobile government issues. There will be a
number of high quality keynote, case study, policy and research

Practice Sessions:The industry/exhibition/demo session aims to get
public or private sector professionals to exhibit current developments
in mobile IT solutions, and demo of mobile government applications and
services. Various industry participants and government units will
gather to create a showcase of the most recent mobile government
solutions facilitating e-government and other public administration.

The EURO mGOV Conference also invites proposals for panels, posters,
demos, tutarial, special sessions and exhibitions.
