Actually, the question seems to be "frequently asked," showing up at
least once a year. Since it is one of continuing interest, I set up a
wiki page that tries to distill some of the discussion. Would be
pleased if any of you with direct experience of these systems could
"endorse" them with your experience. Finding out the details of any
given survey system isn't hard, but personal experience of researchers
(particularly of researchers in university settings) is valuable, I
think.
