Yesterday, Association of Independent Information Professionals (AIIP) Past
President Cynthia Shamel presented AIIP's Annual Technology Award at
Internet Librarian in Monterey to XLineSoft's ASPRunner Professional with an
Honorable Mention for IBM Visual Communication Lab's Many Eyes.

Since I had posted the request for nominations to the list and received
several replies, I wanted to follow up with the results. The press release

Association of Independent Information Professionals Selects XLineSoft's
ASPRunner Professional for Technology Award

(BATON ROUGE, LA (October 30, 2007) -- The Association of Independent
Information Professionals (AIIP) announced today that it has selected
XLineSoft (http://www.xlinesoft.com/) as the recipient of the Eighth Annual
AIIP Technology Award for its ASPRunner Professional product. AIIP presents
this prestigious award each year to the company whose product best assists
independent information professionals with their day-to-day operations in
locating, analyzing, organizing, and delivering information.
The award was presented today at Information Today, Inc.'s Internet
Librarian conference in Monterey, CA.

According to the AIIP Awards Committee, ASPRunner Professional-a database
management tool-can be used to create robust, easy-to-modify code (with no
programming required) to implement online database applications and improve
the functionality of members' web sites, making the product well-suited to
AIIP's diverse membership and its various database needs.

Honorable Mention for the Technology Award was given to IBM Visual
Communication Lab (http://www.research.ibm.com/visual/) for its product Many
Eyes. A public web site, Many Eyes allows users to gather data, visualize
it, and discuss their visualizations.
