About activism and the net. I am put off by most computer self help
books being written for business applications. I wonder if anyone
else is studying the explosion of the Diummies books, the Complete
Idiot guides and the more serious less funny books on how to "program
computers". What if I want to program in XML or AJAX and don't want
to sell anything? Am I really in the computer self help book
audience? Does any one care to discuss this? I have written an
undergrad paper introducing the semiotics of the computer self help
press. Is anyone working in this area of study?
