Swinburne University of Technology is inviting applications to fill a  
new professorial position in the Media, Multimedia and Communications  
disciplines, in the Faculty of Life and Social Sciences.

This position is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the  
academic and research leadership of a dynamic and growing discipline  
group. Swinburne has an established reputation for innovative,  
professionally-oriented undergraduate and postgraduate education in  
the Media, Multimedia and Communications areas. The group has a  
developing research profile, and strong connections with researchers  
in the University's Institute for Social Research, the ARC Centre of  
Excellence in Creative Industries and Innovation, and the Smart  
Services Cooperative Research Centre.

The successful applicant will have an outstanding reputation in  
teaching and research in one or more of the following areas:

n	Journalism, especially online journalism
n	Interactive digital media
n	Media and communications policy
n	New media applications and services
n	Online games
n	Online social networking
