Hear hear! (In regard to the part about the conference being  
wonderful, kudos to Richard, Mia and many, many volunteers, sponsors  
and supporters, not to the part about Charles, I may be out of earshot.)

It is also a good moment to thank the members of the outgoing  
executive committee for their hard work and to thank the incoming  
members and wish them good luck. I am knocked out by the degree to  
which people have taken up the AoIR flag and put in much effort,  
energy and enthusiasm, and I hope that the association will continue  
to evolve as its members see fit and set forth with ideas and actions.
