There's a basic article about possible border searches of laptops at

It's a plurilateral effort.

Usual WP caveats apply

I don't think that people's laptops (or Berries) will be routinely
searched, given the volume of border traffic.*

And if you're under surveillance, there will be ways to get at your stuff
besides border searches.

*Coming into the US from Canada this Wednesday at Queenston-Lewiston took
25 minutes, and the joy of watching swat teams and sniffer dogs. The other
direction (US > Canada) took 1 minute, according to the broadcast
information. I doubt that swats & dogs were used.
