[Air-L] Basic intro/survey article on "what is new media?"

I'd recommend looking at two collections/readers that take very  
different approaches to answering that question ("what is new media  
research?"). The first is the New Media Reader edited by Noah Wardrup- 
Fruin. The second is The Handbook of New Media (Updated Student  
Edition) 2006, edited by Leah Lievrouw and Sonia Livingstone.
