The Eurostat website allows to download data about the evolution of 
Internet users and their socio-demographic profiles of most of the 
European countries since about 2002 up to currently early 2008. The 
exact start year depends on the country. One of the profile subgroups is 
composed of subtables of age group by gender. The reference group is 
either all residents or internet users. The data are based on surveys of 
the national statistical offices of EU member states, candidate 
countries, and of some neighbouring countries (Norway, Switzerland) 
though the latter data do not cover all the years and all the questions.
