Hello,

The Meyer Memorial Trust  in Portland, OR has taken advantage of the fact
that the Portland area is a computer geek nexus and has worked to help create
connec+ipedia – http://connectipedia.org -
which is “a shared learning community for anyone interested in advancing the
knowledge and efforts of those working for the common good.” It is like a wiki
because all members can contribute to the content, but it goes beyond a wiki by
providing a dynamic and revolutionary way to create connections toward advancing
the “common good.”

The (open-source) software used to create it – Wagn – is
describe on the Wagn website - http://wagn.org/wagn/Wagn.org - as “a
wiki you query, an on-the-fly community database, a
templating system, an application
platform, and a playground .... all in
one.”

This
resource has a tremendous amount of potential – but
that potential can only be realized by the degree that people working toward the
common good use it. So, I hope you will
check out http://connectipedia.org and
pass the information on to others who may be interested.
