Hey Deb,

Great to hear the gap is closing for one minority group in the world (excuse
my foreign ignorance: are Hispanics considered a minority group in the US?).
As a matter of interest, what are some of the barriers to higher ed that the
group generally face?

Hispanic students comprised 12 percent of full-time college students (both 
undergraduate and graduate students) in 2007, up from 10 percent in 2006, 
according to U.S. Census Bureau tables released March 4, 2009.

Hispanics comprise 15 percent of the nations total population.
