[Air-L] Social network site nomenclature

As a writing theorist and teacher, I use the term "social information
technologies" to talk about what I study.  This gets the problematic
verb out of the equation and emphasizes the fact that what I'm really
interested in are the technologies that allow the sharing of what
Goffman calls "social information."  I've seen this term used in
Sociology, but not in Writing Studies yet.

Caroline has a great point in these times when some colleagues think
all we do is play on Facebook.

And might I say it was a small but tolerable annoyance to hit "Reply
All" then paste the air address into the "To" field.
