[Air-L] Fwd: mobile apps for universities

HI Peter,

I have always considered the term "apps' to refer to 'applications'
rather than to 'apple'. It is an interesting notion to think that when
people say 'apps', they are habitually referring to a product label.
Do you think this is true?
