Does anyone know of research and/or evidence regarding the customized sale
of surveillance and/or censorship technology to repressive regimes?
I've been working on the corporate responsibility issues regarding the Nokia
monitoring centers in Iran (Holding Nokia Responsible for Surveilling
Dissidents in Iran: http://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2010/10/saharkhiz-v-nokia)
and am looking for further examples (such as in
http://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2010/01/selling-china-surveillance). I'm
looking for particular examples of information and communication
technologies especially.
Any guidance would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Eddan
