Assistant Professor, Tenure-Track, Technical and Professional Communication
East Carolina University, Department of English

The Department of English at East Carolina University is seeking to
fill a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level,
specializing in technical and professional communication, to begin
August 15, 2011.

Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of contemporary scholarship
and a well-defined research agenda in professional communication. The
successful candidate will be expected to support and contribute to
teaching and innovative curriculum development in graduate and
undergraduate programs in technical and professional communication
(online and face-to-face environments), as well as a doctoral program
in technical and professional discourse. Appropriate service to the
university, community, and profession is expected.

A Ph.D. by August 2011 is required. Will consider other titles based
on degree and qualifications.
