The Australian Consortium for Social and Political Research, Inc.
(ACSPRI) Social Science Methodology Conference is being held in
Sydney, 1-3 December 2010.

I am convening a session titled "Social Research Using Digital Trace
Data".

Vast quantities of data are generated daily in social media
environments such as blogsites, microblogs (Twitter), social
networking sites (e.g. Facebook) and virtual worlds (e.g. Second
Life). However, using these data for social science research poses
significant methodological challenges. Prospective participants are
invited to submit proposals for papers focusing on quantitative and
qualitative research methods for digital trace data.

Both refereed papers and work in progress presentations that fit into
this session are welcome. The deadline for submissions is Friday 1st
October (this Friday!).

Please submit your proposal or paper to: http://www.acspri.org.au/

Please contact me if you would like further information.
