Mendeley also takes screen shots of webpages you archive. They are
also considering providing permanent urls for archived webpages...very
handy.

I'm using the Internet Archive's Wayback machine whilst referring back to my notes.  I have some screen snapshots of sites at the time but not a complete set.  The Archive's preserved copy of the site often doesn't capture all of the elements of the site however making the process problematic at times.  I wasn't aware of Zotero's functionality for taking a page snapshot, so that's helpful (thanks William).  If a site is no longer available I'm citing it with the date accessed and a comment like "now defunct".
