Information Session for Master of Laws in Information Technology and
Intellectual Property (ITIP)

Date: (Friday) 28 January 2011
Time: 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Venue: Room 303, KK Leung Building, The University of Hong Kong, Pokfulam
Road, Hong Kong

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME:

The Master of Laws in Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law
aims to provide students with a sound understanding of innovation and
technology-related phenomena that have transformed our ways of thinking and
approaching law.

The HKU Faculty of Law offers the programme on both full time and part time
basis. Starting from 2011, the Faculty is working closely with the
Department of Computer Science, which will add new, interesting elements to
our curriculum. This new format will equip students and professionals with
the necessary knowledge, skills and expertise in the cutting edge of IT and
IP legal development in Hong Kong, China and the global world.

This unique programme is designed not only for legal professionals, but also
for members of the computer science, IT, and law enforcement communities
with relevant legal experience. Specialists in digital forensics and
engineering fields, government officials and many others wishing to acquire
or improve their legal knowledge and skills are most welcome. While having a
law degree is preferable for admission to the ITIP Programme, it is not
essential.
