Sue,
As you know, fame, as beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
So you will have a variety of national and even sub-national fame-doms;
domain specific fame-doms (gamers, activists, techies, hackers/white and
black hat variety, even poets/netartists, etc.etc.; subject matter fame-doms
(e-democracy, e-gender, ICT and Development, e-sociologists, net theorists,
Internet governance-oids); genre fem-doms (netloons, spammers, ICT
feminists... Etc.etc.
But only Google would I think, be able to make some semblance of order out
of the ensuing mess.
(but maybe that was your point--to become famous as the person who raised
the issue of Net-fame-dom and caused the ensuing row/take over of the AiR
elist? :-)
